I miss summer

i miss the timber floors and the drizzle of a cold shower

as you wash the salt and sand from your hair

i miss the cool, cool icecream

and the taste of mango, coconut and honey

i miss the tan, dark skin that colours the skin

and the lapping of the transparent blue ocean on the feet

i miss the easiness, the breeziness and carefree air that hangs
around during the beloved season we call summer
