Inspired by the ocean, the theme for Chanel's spring/ summer 2012 show was aquatic. With "glorious iridescent weaves, rippling ruffles, metallic Chelsea boots and an almost entirely creamy, nacreous coloured collection," Lagerfeld has hit the perfect balance between the intricately detailed lightness of the ocean and the powerful, fluidity of life in the sea.
